RoHS Compliance & Hazardous Materials Information
RoHS
Every item manufactured by CineMag meets “RoHS” standards (unless specially ordered such as with lead-tin alloy solder). These standards are set forth in the RoHS/EU Directives 2002/95/EC as may be amended: Quantity limit of 0.1% by mass (1,000ppm) in homogeneous material for: Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBP), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE), and quantity limit of 0.01% by mass (100ppm) of homogeneous material for Cadmium (Cd).
The items meet the specifications of EU Directive 2003/11/EC, dated 6 February 2003 (amending Directive 76/769/EEC) relating to pentabromodiphenyl ether and octabromodiphenyl ether.
The items are not homogeneous and consist wholly of materials that do not contain RoHS 2002/95/EC or EU Directive 2003/11/EC restricted substances per the definitions, above.
The items often contain Nickel (Ni) alloys. Pursuant to JEDC Standard JIB-101, the items are classified as a Level B Material and are not intended to be in prolonged contact with skin or internal organs or tissues.
REACH
Based on information obtained from our component suppliers, CineMag products do not contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as listed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) under the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) per the ECHA 19/12/2011 and previous updates.
_____________
The list of Substances of Very High Concern and the RoHS restricted chemicals list change regularly. We will provide new Certificate of Compliance for specific components upon request.
