Counterfeit Goods

In order to protect our customers as well as their end users, CineMag only sells direct or through select resellers.  (Contact us to verify if the reseller you intend to do business with is legitimate.)

Our components have appeared on eBay and similar forums.  Most are legitimately manufactured by us, but there are instances when fakes have been passed off as ours.  Even if manufactured by us, some may not meet RoHS standards because they were manufactured long before those rules came into effect or because they were intentionally manufactured using tin-lead solder or other noncompliant materials.  Furthermore, you may not be able to determine if the part has been subject to damaging current or other forces which impair performance.  Warranties may not apply to such products.

If the component must meet RoHS standards, contact us prior to purchase.  We will verify whether they are compliant or suspect.

Counterfeit components can not meet our performance standards.  Even the most meticulous fake cannot perform properly because of our proprietary materials formulations and processes.  We do not authorize any other business to manufacture our products.  We do not sell those proprietary materials to anyone.

If there is any doubt as to the authenticity of a product with our markings, contact us.  Counterfeiting and other fraudulent practices harm everyone in our industry.
