The Langevin AM16 is one of the acoustic gems from the early days of bipolar transistors being used to create professional grade audio equipment. They were used by major studios such as Capitol Records to record numerous hits.
CineMag is the sole authorized manufacturer of replacement Langevin transformers, courtesy of its relationship with Orphan Audio which is the owner of all of the known existing Langevin transformer engineering documentation and is the owner of Langevin intellectual property.
We are proud that CineMag’s founder, Edward Reichenbach, as well as president David Geren, had personal and engineering relationships with John Hall who designed the AM16, those relationships dating back to the early 1970’s. John approved CineMag’s reproduction of the AM16 transformers.
